Dr. Zuhal Arzomand is a highly accomplished, double board-certified Rheumatologist and Internal Medicine physician dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-focused care. She completed her internal medicine residency at Roger Williams Medical Center, affiliated with Boston University School of Medicine. She then advanced her expertise during a prestigious rheumatology fellowship at Brown University. There, she honed her skills in musculoskeletal ultrasound, participated in a unique combined dermatology-rheumatology clinic, Specialty Care In Pregnancy (SCIP) clinic, and managed a broad spectrum of complex rheumatic diseases.
A published author of several textbook chapters, including Lyme Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, and Basic Calcium Phosphate Deposition Disease, Dr. Arzomand is committed to advancing the field of rheumatology. She is an active member of leading professional organizations such as the American College of Rheumatology (ACR), the American College of Physicians (ACP), and the Association of Women in Rheumatology (AWIR). She has presented her work at various local and national conferences including the American College of Rheumatology Annual Meeting.
Dr. Arzomand’s approach to care is rooted in building strong physician-patient relationships. She believes in empowering her patients with knowledge and ensuring clear, compassionate communication to support positive outcomes. Beyond her clinical practice, she is passionate about giving back to the community and volunteers with organizations such as the Arthritis Foundation to promote awareness and support for those living with chronic rheumatic conditions.
Fluent in Farsi/Dari and conversational in Spanish, Dr. Arzomand is proud to serve a diverse patient population. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending quality time with her family.
